Problems getting started with SCIA Engineer 2010

Hello there!

I have installed SCIA Engineer according to the installation instructions provided.
However when i try to start the application it wont show up.
A look into the task manager reveals that its actually running, and using 100% of CPU time. (and it takes up 65MB)

Im am using Windows 7 Pro 32bit with Avira Antivir and Online Armor Firewall (both turned off for testing)

I hope you can help me to get my copy that software running!

Is there no one in charge of the student's problems? I really wonder why this forum exists at all.
